Sanitation & Stock Health
At Aspen Acres, sanitation is fundamental to how we grow. From propagation onward, we follow careful handling and cleaning practices designed to reduce disease pressure and support healthy stock.
Tools, surfaces, trays, and work areas are cleaned and disinfected routinely using solutions such as bleach and Virkon. Varieties and batches are kept organized throughout handling, and stock is observed closely for vigour and signs of issue during the season. Where necessary, questionable material may be isolated or removed from propagation.
We may also periodically test select stock for virus as part of our broader sanitation efforts. However, we do not guarantee any tuber, cutting, or plant to be virus-free.
What we do guarantee is care: thoughtful stock management, strict sanitation practices, and a commitment to maintaining the cleanest program we can.
